title pic So, It’s 3am and my phone rings…

I dated this guy who would get drunk and call me in the middle of the night when he was out drinking with his friends. Normally this would be a booty call in most circumstances but this guy lived 3 hours away so a booty call… would be a logistical impossibility. He would call and I would hear screaming in the background if I answered and he would go on and on about how crazy his night was. I had NO idea why he thought I would care about how his night was when I’m in bed sleeping and the phone ringing just scared the crap out of me. I insisted that he stopped calling me in the middle of the night, but he kept doing it regularly.

Eventually we stopped dating for other reasons and remained friends. Every so often I still get a drunk dial in the middle of the night, which is really annoying :x . Especially now that I’m dating someone else and I have to explain to him who this guy is calling in the middle of the night. :oops: I have to turn my phone on silent before I go to bed with my boyfriend, just in case he decides to drunk dial me again.

Since I’ve talked to the drunk dialer and told him to stop doing it and he still does, I’m not sure what else to do… any advice?

    Maybe you need to be more firm with him. Tell him that if it happens again you will no longer talk to him. You can’t allow him to ruin a potentially good relationship for you. If that doesn’t knock some sense into him see if you can get his number blocked

    Thanks :) I’m going to try that. He hasn’t called in a few weeks but i did get a couple texts from him… maybe, just maybe, he’s finally getting the point ha ha!
