So my number # rule would be if a guy talks about his mother then he is a mommy’s boy… Goodbye! i would not deal with that ever again…

I have been single for a couple of years now after being married for 22 years. I met this guy on-line and we talk a bit and decided to meet. We had a great day and spend 3 hours chatting and getting to know each. At the end of the date he asked if he could take me for a flight in his plane. It went great and ended up feeling really great about the date. The next day he called and asked me out again to go boating. I was very excited and called a friend to tell her the story and what we where going to do that day. After I told her a few things about him she asked me his name and told me she knew him and to run as fast as I could. I asked why and she told me he was married. How do you know? I did confront him on the phone and he told me that my friend was lieing to me. Everyone know girlfriend don’t lie about those things.

He started out overly sweet & loving, sensitive & attentive & very sincere. We weren’t kids, I was 50 he was 55. He was a Christian, and I wondered where he’d been all my life? Then it all turned around. He became very needy, more possessive, jealous (of the dog & my friends), I couldn’t keep up. Then after we were married about a year & a half, he went another direction… excessive golf, TV, work & overtime, coming home late, lying and getting caught, and being less attentive. Red Flags everywhere! Then he moved out… “to find himself”! Found out later from his ex wife that he was doing her and others and at the same time(she proved it), & he was telling me “I want to be the man you deserve to be married to”. We were married 2 1/2 yrs. I feel betrayed, used, and like a total loser with no intuition.
Where I am now? Angry, bitter, hurting, & lacking trust. Yes that’s where I was. I have moved forward, and am still working towards healing myself.
I’m still not ready to trust but have a bit of advice to offer. If he seems to good to be true, then he probably is. Take it very slow. Date him forever if you think you love him, the honeymoon will last longer. Ask the Ex if you are able, to tell you what kind of husband he was? Pat

I was in a 5 month relationship with the MOST insecure guy on earth! I met him on facebook and I thought he was pretty cool turns out he was just like the rest of the guys I went out with. The ONLY difference was this crazy person, didn’t allow me to go out with my friends, judges every single one of my friends, saying their a bad influence when he’s never met them before. He doesnt wanna have a good time, he doesnt want me to go clubbin but in turn he goes and clubs with his friends. He called me a bitch, slut, cunt, hoe, and anything else you can think of that is hurtful. When all I did was, well nothing. The things he said to me were so degrading and just straight low, I rather get punched in the face then having to hear him say that bs.
My rule: “When a guy doesnt treat you right or calls you a bitch, slut, whore etc. Leave. You don’t deserve it and it’s his loss for losing the best girl/woman he has ever had.”

When your man would rather spend time with his dog than you. Taking his dog camping with him and on a road trip are definite signs he is just not that into you.

When I guy continually keeps telling you who he is rather then leting you get to know him in time. Especially since he is not the guy he thinks he is…

Pretty basic…
If he doesn’t want to introduce you to his friends. Either he has something to hide or he thinks you’re not going to be around for long, either way he’s an ass and needs to be kicked to the curb!

Hi Lovable992,
Some questions for you. How long have you two been friend? Were you friends before the relationship? Do either of you have feelings for the other one? Have you tried being friends with his girlfriend?
Let me know and we will figure out an answer for you.

I have a guy friend who has a girlfriend…We have started hanging out and stuff…Nothing at all has happened. We stopped talking for about 6 months because his GF found out we were hanging out. I seen him for the first time this weekend, and now he is back to messaging me…saying that he misses me and other things…what does this mean???

I think it’s doomed from the word go, if he can’t leave the house because he wants to spend every waking moment groping and kissing. Doesn’t leave much time for outside activities! Also, if he watched you cook dinner and then proceeds to watch you clean up afterward, not a good sign of things to come.

Exclusively dating for a period of time and he still does not introduce you to his friends/family and-or not interested in meeting yours…big red flag that this relationship is going no where fast!

I dated and fell in love with a man who I would later discover, after I married him, was that he is an abusive jerk. The red flag I missed was his need to control and make all the decisions like where we would go, what we would do, who we would see, what color the house would be. That is the price I paid for falling in love at 15.

This one time I decided to meet up with this guy for dinner and a movie and while we were at dinner, sitting next to each other, talking, he began telling me about how he is a cyclist and how he was training for a big bike ride coming up… then he procceded to tell me how he was in the best shape of his life and asked me to “feel his leg” haha before I even had a chance to argue he grabbed my hand, placed it on his THIGH and SQUEEZED my hand!!!! Needless to say I was completely creeped out and we did NOT make it to the movie!! hahahhaha RIDIC!!!

I dated a guy who was recently out of a relationship with his wife. they decided to continue living in the same house together (separate living quarters) for their daughters sake until they decided what to do with the house.(first red flag, but I thought, I would give it a try and see what happens)..well after 6 months of dating, there were no plans for them to sell, her (ex wife) new boyfriend had pretty much moved in and she wanted me to come hang out with her and all of them. Needless to say, I said no, never, nada…huge red flag!! I got out right away…to this date, I hear they are still all living under one roof! yuck.

Yes, I decided to try the online dating..I met this guy online and we emailed back and forth for a bit…he seemed a really nice guy, but described himself “somewhat” different that his real self. i saw one pic of him and not to bad (must have been a really, really good day!), but he had a closed mouth smile–yes, you know where this is going huh?! and his baseball hat on backwards..anyways, he wasn’t much taller than me, but at least he claimed to be taller..he also said he was thin–I prefer a man with a little meat on him, but decided to give this guy a go, since we did hit it off personality wise..I agreed, foolishly to allow him to pick me up..I was actually excited about the date and watched from my window as he pulled up out front in his jeep (the ONLY good thing he had going at that point!!)…well, he steps out and not only is he thin..he is a complete rake..no offense to any of you ladies who like skinny men, just not my pref…and to compliment his rakish body, he was wearing a ribbed tank top (aka:wifebeater) with an open shirt over top…his jeans were almost falling off his non existent hip bones, and yes, the baseball hat was on..backwards…I did answer the door and I didn’t want to be rude, although, I was hoping the floor would open up and swallow me first, but I opened it anyways and in he steps…about an inch shorter than me (I am 5’7″ so not super tall by any means), and then he smiles….he should have stuck with closed mouth smile…yuck…brownish yellow teeth in really, really, really bad shape, he gave me a hug and I honestly felt like I was going to break him and I am of average body size! ewww…and under his hat in the front where it was open, I saw long sprouts of random hair popping out..Now I have no problem with baldness or men that are balding…but WHY can they not accept it and keep it short, there is nothing worse than a combover or hoping that if they grow the few they have left, that this will cover thier head! Anyways, I did go out with him…I had nothing else to do, and he did drive almost 45 minutes to get me…we go for dinner, he waits for me to order and then orders the exact same thing..at least he would eat some meat I think! Worst was, the conversation was bad, as truly I was so disinterested at this point, I didn’t say much…finally the food comes (steak sandwich–not huge meal) and half way thru he tells me he is soooo full…omg..I was horrified!!! a man that cannot eat a steak sandwich…needless to say, he paid for dinner, took me home, tried to kiss me…with tongue…gross on so many levels by him..he told me what a great time he had–huh? where was he?!?!? and continually texted and called me for a week, unanswered of course, before he finally got the hint!
